ridiculous when y’all generally hate on white/cis/heterosexual/male irrespective of situation andsolely for possessing those traits in the name of social justice. the ideal state of society you should be after is to bring everybody to a true equal playing field, not an inverted version of current prejudices. find a better outlet for the pain in your heart and accept everyone as human beings going forward, if that is your goal
International Men’s Day? Hard pass. I honestly cannot think of a single societal issue that is directly tied to me being a man.
– Men are more likely to be required to pay child support and less likely to have rights to see their children … or see them at all.
– Men are less likely to recieve custody of their children.
– Men are considered weak when they show their emotions or just have human feelings.
– Men are more likely to be arrested for defending themselves against female attackers and abusers. They are also less likely to be believed when they report it.
– In many places, the law not only doesn’t recognize that women can be rapists but specifically doesn’t recognize that men can be raped.
– Genital mutilation for baby boys is legal basically everywhere.
– Men are more likely to commit suicide.
– Men with eating disorders are never recognized, men with any mental illness are almost never recognized.
– Men suffer from the societal pressures and expections directly associated with being men.
– Bullying men, especially when done by women, is basically encouraged.
– Abusing men is a running joke in media e.i slapping your man when your mad at him, not letting him see his friends, hitting him with objects, screaming in his face, etc.

stop believing in restrictive love. it’s not cute to hit up your boyfriend every hour on the hour because you need reassurance he isn’t cheating. it’s not okay to force your girlfriend to tell you her phone passcode so you can read through her texts. stop telling your significant other they can’t be friends with certain people, stop getting mad at them for hanging with their friends, stop trying to control who they are because you’re scared of what might happen if you actually trust them. love is supposed to be open, trusting, and full of support and it’s so sad and frustrating to see people take their insecurities and fears from a past lover out on their current one
