The following citations contain spoilers for The Fourth Closet.
The page in TFC where Springtrap dances (p. 102) is a show that William put on for context so Jessica could differentiate him from Springtrap.
William was not inside the suit when it was dancing. He was sitting behind it, watching. He used the Afton Robotics technology to create an illusion of his body being inside it.(TFC p. 103).
William calls it “Theatrics” (TFC p. 102).
When Jessica asks him what the dance routine was for, William tells her it was for context to show her how he used to be so she could compare it to him now. (TFC p.103)
He differentiates himself from Springtrap, saying, “When I called myself Springtrap, I was ecstatic with power, delirious (with pain).” (TFC p. 103-104).
He notes that he plays characters like Dave and Springtrap on the same page. He refers to Springtrap as a monster he gave her (TFC p. 106).
It should also be noted that although Springtrap sings about murdering her, William makes no hostile or aggressive actions and is very polite and well mannered to her.
He asks her to come closer and when she declines, he does not force her. (TFC p. 103) he also says the dance was for her because, “I thought you’d like to see me as I was. a familiar face.” He again beckons her with, “Come, sit with me.” He does not force her. He just says, “Jessica, come closer.”
He was in no means being romantic, sexual or interested in her.
He was proud of his alchemy and wanted to show her because she is a scientist, like him.
William watched her with a gleam of pride. (TFC p. 108).
“I am simply telling you, so that you can understand…” (TFC p. 106). “A woman with a mind for science. You can’t help but admire what I’ve done.” (TFC p. 108).
“Come closer…I want you to watch what happens next.” (TFC p. 110).

William Afton is not currently in the suit durng this scene. He is sitting in the back of the room watching. He programmed the suit to dance like that and used the Afton Robotics chip to make an illusion that he was inside it still.

This page was taken out of context and is misleading. I have been seeing people use it as a way to “prove” things about William that are not true. All this proves is he is very smart to have created the program and he likes theatrics.
